We want to make your visit to the National Schools Rugby Festival as enjoyable as possible.  Throughout the day there will be amazing rugby on both Pitch 1 and Pitch 2, as well as a range of hospitality, pop-up shops and children’s activities.

  • 7.00pm - OBs’ Hockey Match
  • 8.00pm - OBs’ Rugby Match
  • 12.00am - Gates close
  • Prestigious Bars, Friday Night Show & Mac ‘N’ Cheese

Saturday 19 October 2019

  • 8.00am - Gates open
  • 9.00am - First match commences
  • 12.00pm - Prestigious Bars
  • 6.00pm - Gates close
  • University Fair, Street Food & Pop-up shops, VIP service available, St Jo’s OBs’ and Parents’ Lounge

Sunday 20 October 2019

  • 8.00am - Gates open
  • 8.30am - First match commences
  • 12.00pm - Prestigious Bars
  • 5.00pm - Cup and Plate winners presentation
  • 6.00pm - Gates close
  • University Fair, Street Food & Pop-up shops, VIP service available, St Jo’s OBs’ and Parents’ Lounge

Entry Prices

Tickets can be bought on the gate on each of the two Festival days:

  • Cars: £8 per car or £10 for both days, which includes a Festival programme 
  • Walk-in: £3 per person, which includes a Festival programme

The following information will help you to plan your trip to the Festival and to enjoy the event:

 

  • Accommodation - There are a wide range of local hotels 
  • There will be a wide variety of activities to keep children entertained
  • Disabled parking and toilets are available
  • Baby feeding and changing facilities are available
  • There will be no ATMs on site
  • The College does not allow dogs on campus
  • There will be a designated smoking area available
  • The Visitors Information Centre will be located in front of the Main House
  • First aid facilities will be provided by Sportmed East during Festival opening hours

How to Find Us

By Car

Please use the St Joseph’s College Main Entrance on Belstead Road. Please do not use the Birkfield Mews/Goldrood entrance, which is also on Belstead Road. The address is:

Parking can be purchased on the day at a cost of £5, which includes a programme.

By Train

The College is just under a mile from Ipswich railway station. This line links directly to London Liverpool Street and the journey takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. 

Directions From Ipswich Railway Station 

Turn right on to Burrell Road and right again onto Willoughby Road. At the T-junction turn right onto Belstead Road. Follow Belstead Road, going past the St Joseph’s College Mews and Goldrood entrance. Take the next right (signposted to St Joseph’s College) and follow the road for 0.1 miles where you will find the main College entrance on your right-hand side.
